Beam from ECR source to the ring
   On the 5th of June 2003, after many years of work, finally ions from the ECR ion source were transported and
 stored in the ring. High voltage was applied to the source platform without problems and the transport
  of the C2+ ions was relatively easy. The beam was accelerated to full energy, electron cooled and
                  delivered to the experiment on the afternoon same day.

More ions extracted!
On Tuesday the 14th of October, 1998, 200 electrical microamperes of Ar8+ were detected in the Faradaycup after the analysing magnet.

The motorgenerator unit delivered!
The 315 kW isolated motor generator unit was delivered by the Danfysik company in January 1998

Whole ion injection system tested!
During the first two weeks in March 1998 all ion injection systems and the afterglow mode have been tested and shown to work. The following ioncurrents were measured:

300 microamp Ar8+
8 microamp Ar14+
30 microamp Pb25+
